Area Girls Golf: Cougars grab win; Bullets tumble – Sports – Daily Review Atlas

DAHINDA – The Mid-County girls golf team defeated Williamsfield 220-243 at Oak Run Golf Course on Monday.

Faith Erlacher earned medalist honors with a 53. Taylor Haga and Sarah Kaiser each had 54s and Annalyn Lovell and Clara Kuelper both had 59s for the Cougars.

Avery Rigg led the Bombers with a 56. Olivia Farquer had a 59 and Natalie Gonzalez and Maddie Gonzalez each had 64s for Williamsfield.

United beats Annawan/Wethersfield

At Kewanee, The United Red Storm girls golf team fell to Kewanee but defeated Annawan/Wethersfield in a tri-meet at Kewanee Dunes on Monday.

The Boilermakers finished with a 210, the Red Storm scored a 239 and the Titans had 292.

Paige McKeown led United with 50 points. Haley Marshall carded a 60, Becca Merry had a 61 and Josie McElwee scored a 68 for the Red Storm.

Knoxville 247

At Aledo, the Blue Bullets suffered a loss against the Golden Eagles on the front nine holes of Hawthorne Ridge Golf Course on Tuesday.

Kaci Luptak led Knoxville with a 47 on the par-36 course. Piper Lewis shot a 50, Ava Hebard had a 69 and Ciara Shreeves added a 71 for the Blue Bullets.
