After five years, Moreno Valley Ranch golf course reopens with new name – Press Enterprise

After five years, the Moreno Valley Ranch Golf Club has reopened its doors, although the name above those doors is a different one.

The new Rancho Del Sol Golf Club opened Wednesday, Aug. 26.

The golf course originally opened as a 27-hole course designed by famed architect Pete Dye in 1998. The new course has been reduced to an 18-hole course. It hosted the Nike Inland Empire Golf Tournament from 1994 to 1998.

But attendance declined and the course shut down in 2015.

The $100 million, 112-acre project, now includes a high-end restaurant, park, an event center for weddings, a 417-unit apartment complex and a Boys & Girls Club facility.

Rancho Del Sol Golf Club is at 28095 John F Kennedy Drive, Moreno Valley.
